Our Managing Director, Alissa Kole, took part in the Saudi Capital Market Forum 2024, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on February 19-20. Our participation highlighted the growing internationalization of the Saudi market, particularly in terms of institutional investment and dual listings, such as Americana Restaurants (in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi). We are impressed by these positive dynamics, which are expected to be reinforced by Aramco’s potential secondary tranche listing.

This forum aligns with PIF’s strategic initiative to enhance private-sector engagement. The event served as a platform to highlight business opportunities within PIF and its portfolio companies, indicating potential openings for investors and suppliers while fostering collaboration.

Our Managing Director, Alissa Kole, recently participated in the PIF Directors’ Gathering, a platform fostering connections and knowledge exchange among PIF Directors from diverse countries and sectors. This event aimed to inspire and generate insights, helping directors identify paths to success today and tomorrow. The event took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 29-30.

GOVERN has provided inputs and comments during OECD’s international Consultation on the revision of the OECD Guidelines on Corporate Governance of State Owned Enterprises, held in Paris last week. We are sharing these comments, which will be taken into consideration in the revision process.

GOVERN is pleased to participate in the United Nations Dialogue on Digital Finance Governance organised by the UNDP and UNCDF to discuss a paper co-authored with the UN by our Managing Director on Governance of BigFintechs. The paper will be shortly released publicly and will lay the ground for future work on governance of BigFintechs by the industry and the international community.
